Tiaga

The taiga biome has a cold climate characterized by long, harsh winters and short summers. Animals that live in the taiga, such as bears, wolves, lynx, and snowshoe hares, have adapted to the difficult conditions through hibernation, migration, or cooperation with the challenging environment. The dominant trees in taiga forests are evergreen conifers like spruce, fir, and hemlock, along with aspen, birch, poplar, and deciduous trees. Permafrost, or permanently frozen ground, is common in some taiga regions and makes growing plants difficult by cracking the ground and leaving it lumpy when it melts.

Taiga climate

TIAGA
—A biome is the type of habitat in certain places, like
mountain tops, deserts, and tropical forests, and is
determined by the climate of the place. The taiga is the
biome of the needle leaf forest. Living in the taiga is
cold and lonely. Coldness and food shortages make
things very difficult, mostly in the winter. Some of the
animals in the taiga hibernate in the winter, some fly
south if they can, while some just cooperate with the
environment, which is very difficult.

Microclimates
