1. Supreme court- highest court in the country. 2. Federal Court System Deals with disputes about laws that apply to the United states
3. State Court systems- Mostly deal with disputes about state laws.
4. Criminal Cases Involve a person who has committed a crime. 5. Civil Case - Relating to rights of citizens 6. evidence can be almost anything to prove a persons story is correct
7. Jury Trial A group of 12 people listens to the evidence and decides who wins the case. 8. Verdict the decision 9. Bench Trial Where there is no jury and the Judge gives the verdict 10. Appeal asking the court to review the decision.
11. Judicial Review - Only the court itself can determine if a ruling should stand or should be reversed.
