Dear Parents, We reached over 1000 links for our blessing chain. Thank you to Mr. Seely, Mr. Sawada and Mrs. Yamato for photos and to Mr. Vander Haak, Mrs. Willson, Mr. Enns and Mrs. Schraven for helping out. Please check on Briskys and Teddys blogs to find out what we have been learning about. Language arts - This week we will be continuing our focus on non-fiction books. We'll also be enjoying different versions of the well-known story of the gingerbread boy who ran away. At the end of the week we will be baking our own gingerbread people! We will be mixing the dough on Thursday, chilling it overnight, and baking cookies on Friday. If any parents are available on Friday morning to help roll out the dough and assist the students in cutting and decorating cookies, please email us or send a note. [email protected] [email protected] The students are doing a very good job on their presentations from their research. I hope to have them on the blog soon. Stop by and see all the projects in the hallway. Bible - We are continuing our stories about who is Jesus. We will be looking Peters Confession, the Transfiguration, Friend of Children and the Rich Young Ruler.

Mathematics - We will begin our Geometry unit looking at 2- and 3-dimensional shapes. Some of the vocabulary we will be working on this week: point, line, parallel, non-parallel and polygon.
