Kang Haidong, born in Tianshui, Gansu Province, received his Ph.D. from Northeastern University in October 2025. He currently serves as a tenured Associate Professor (Level 3) at the School of Computer Science, Northeastern University, and is a master’s supervisor. He expects to recruit one doctoral student in the second half of 2026. He has published more than 10 papers in top-tier journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, SCIS, ICML 2025, ICCV 2025, NeurIPS 2025, ACM MM 2025, IJCAI 2025, AAAI 2026, and IEEE TNNLS. Among these, two papers are in Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Tier 1 journals, one is in an SCI Tier 1 journal, and three are in Tsinghua B-class/CCF C conferences such as IJCNN 2024 and ICANN. One CCF A-class journal paper has been recognized as a Highly Cited Paper in SCI. Additionally, he has submitted several papers as first or corresponding author, which are under review at TPAMI, SCIS, CVPR 2026, and other venues. He holds two authorized patents and has participated as a core member in multiple horizontal and vertical research projects. In terms of academic awards, he has received the National Scholarship (2024), the Outstanding Graduate Student of Northeastern University, First-Class Academic Scholarships (2021–2023), and was selected as a candidate for the Northeastern University May Fourth Medal (Top Ten Graduate Students) in 2025. He is in good health, hardworking, energetic, responsible, cooperative, emotionally stable, and passionate about both life and research.
