Brain Aneurysm AI Challenge Planned

Plans are underway for the summer launch of a new RSNA AI Challenge focused on saccular aneurysms in the brain.

Organized by a task force comprised of RSNA member neuroradiologists and AI experts, the upcoming challenge will task researchers to develop best-in-class machine learning models to detect and classify brain aneurysms.

A specially curated data set is planned and will contain data from almost every continent. Learn about RSNA AI Challenges and watch for launch details.

QIBA Profile Library Open to All

Medical imaging professionals can ensure greater precision and reliability in their work with profiles available in a library developed by members of the Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA).

The profile library is a repository for quantitative imaging protocols for CT, MR, US and nuclear medicine, written and vetted by members of the radiology community. The profiles can be used in a variety of ways including:

  • Improving clinical trials
  • Providing aid in meeting regulatory requirements
  • Facilitating research collaboration
  • Delivering quality assurance
  • Educating quantitative imaging newcomers

The work of the QIBA community demonstrated the value and practicality of quantitative imaging biomarkers, both nationally and internationally. Access the profile library at QIBAwiki.RSNA.org and select QIBA Profiles from the bulleted list. Have questions? Email us at [email protected].

Medical Imaging Resource for AI

The RSNA Medical Imaging Resource for AI (MIRA) data repository provides annotated medical imaging data sets to support AI-focused research. MIRA’s datasets were assembled for RSNA’s ongoing series of AI challenge competitions and are made available at no cost for non-commercial research. Data sets published on MIRA include:

  • RSNA Intracranial Hemorrhage Detection (RSNA-IHD)
  • RSNA Pulmonary Embolism Detection (RSNA-PED)
  • RSNA Screening Mammography Breast Cancer Detection (RSNA-SMBC)
  • RSNA Cervical Spine Fracture Detection (RSNA-CSF)
  • RSNA Abdominal Traumatic Injury CT (RATIC)
