In other words, the <code>strip()<\/code> will remove leading and trailing whitespace characters from the <code>str<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Python, the following are whitespace characters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><code>' '<\/code> &#8211; the space character<\/li><li><code>\\t<\/code> &#8211; the tab character<\/li><li><code>\\n<\/code> &#8211; the newline or linefeed character<\/li><li><code>\\r<\/code> &#8211; the carriage return<\/li><li><code>\\x0b<\/code> &#8211; the vertical tab. It can be also expressed as <code>\\v<\/code>.<\/li><li><code>\\x0c<\/code> &#8211; the form feed character that forces a printer to move the next sheet of paper. It&#8217;s also expressed as <code>\\f<\/code>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To get the whitespace characters, you can use the <code>string<\/code> module like this:<\/p>\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"
