Over 900 participants from nearly 70 countries—these are the numbers behind TNC, the largest conference dedicated to research and education networks in Europe. The organizers of this year’s edition invite everyone to the capital of Finland, Helsinki, to jointly address the challenges facing the world of technology. Representatives from PCSS will participate in the event across multiple dimensions and aspects. The Center will also serve as the main technological partner of the conference.
The scope of TNC covers a wide range of topics, including breakthrough solutions in cybersecurity, international partnerships, and network resilience, focusing on future-proof solutions for current and upcoming challenges.
TNC26 will be hosted by CSC – IT Center for Science, which manages and operates the Funet network—a fast and cost-effective academic and research computer network for Finnish higher education institutions, scientific organizations, and other members of the Funet community.
As the main technological partner of the conference, PCSS provides full multimedia coverage and live online broadcasts of the plenary sessions. Specialists from the Poznań Center are also responsible for managing web systems, including the preparation of the conference website, full registration with payment processing, and badge generation.
The conference will also feature an expo zone showcasing the joint booth of PCSS and the PIONIER Consortium, presenting the latest results from ongoing research projects. The key projects featured at the booth will be PIAST-AI—the large-scale infrastructure of the first Polish Artificial Intelligence Factory created by PCSS—as well as breakthrough quantum solutions: the PIAST-Q computer (responsible for quantum computing) and the PIONIER-Q system (developing secure quantum communication). The booth will serve not only as a space to showcase advanced hardware but also as a platform for important international discussions. The panel “Are AI Infrastructures Aligned with User Needs?”, featuring Joanna Kowalska (Deputy Project Manager of PIAST-AI), will focus specifically on the core objectives of the PIAST-AI project.
