Multiple access protocols

When using Ceph technology, you can choose from several interfaces for your storage service — RADOS Block Device (RBD), CephFS, or RADOS.

Interoperability with OVHcloud ecosystem

Cloud Disk Array is compatible with Bare Metal dedicated servers, Hosted Private Cloud and Public Cloud instances.

Cloud Disk Array powered by Ceph

Cloud Disk Array is based on Ceph, a distributed block storage that is widely used on the market. Ceph offers high performance, by-design redundancy, and easy hot-plugging.

The storage service can be used, with Ceph, in several access modes to match specific workloads. This includes block storage with RBD, file storage with CephFS, and object storage with RADOS.

A redundant, high-availability architecture

Ceph powers Cloud Disk Array, which provides a distributed, redundant architecture with no single point of failure (SPOF). On top of that, each block is triple replicated in three fault domains for maximum availability. Data is then replicated on three servers in three different racks within the same datacentre, so it is always accessible.

Use cases

Ceph storage cluster for Proxmox environment

Ceph is compatible with Proxmox, which means you can link your dedicated disks to your VMs, and take advantage of a reliable and efficient system.

Scalable block storage infrastructure

Cloud Disk Array is a block storage solution that can be linked to your instances or used as overflow storage, offering scalability and redundancy for your critical data.
