China-based Semiconductor Integrated Display Technology, or SidTek, is an OLED microdisplay developer established in 2016.
Sidtek operates a 8-inch production line in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China, where it produces commercial displays. The company's first display was introduced in 2020 (0.39" 1024x768). Sidtek is also constructing a 12-inch fab, also in Wuhu City. The first line in the new 12-inch fab will start production by the end of 2024.

Sidtek completes the construction of the main building in its upcoming 12-inch OLED microdisplay fab in Miangyang
Sidtek held a ceremony yesterday, marking the topping-out of the main building in its upcoming 12-inch OLED microdisplay production hub in Mianyang, China.

Sidtek's new production fab will have a total construction area of about 60,000 sqm (this is likely to be just the first phase), and cover an area of 125 acres. Sidtek hopes to start producing the first panels by the end of 2026, and achieve early mass production in Q2 2027.
OLED industry investments heats up: how 2025 is reshaping the money flow into next‑gen displays
Investments in the OLED ecosystem remained strong across 2024–2025, but shifted from defensive balance‑sheet moves and IP deals in 2024 toward larger growth financing, IPO preparation and microdisplay‑focused bets in 2025. Total disclosed deal value increased meaningfully in 2025, driven by HKC’s planned IPO alongside several sizable venture rounds and acquisitions.

It is always difficult to analyze such changes in investments, especially as some companies, such as HKC are not pure-play OLEDs (though HKC's main plans for this fund raising is to invest in next-gen displays, most OLEDs).
2024: De-risking and strategic positioning
In 2024 most activity centered on strengthening existing players and selectively backing early microdisplay innovators. LG Display raised around $970 million via a public share placement in March, explicitly earmarked to expand and upgrade its OLED production capacity. Lumicore’s $100 million Series A and Xi’an Manareco’s roughly $10 million private placement into Idemitsu Electronic Materials (China) targeted OLED microdisplay production and materials supply, aligning with rising AR/VR and high‑end IT display demand.
Sidtek to invest $220 million to expand its OLED microdisplay module fab in Meishan
Sidtek has signed an agreement with the local government in Meishan, to expand its OLED microdisplay module fab. The total investment required for this expansion project (Meishan Phase II) will be 1.6 billion Yuan, or about $226 million USD.

Sidtek says that this investment will include, in addition to the capacity expansion, also an establishment of an IC R&D centre, and an OEM production line for AR/VR headset production. Sidtek says that after the expansion, it will have the yearly capacity to produce 13 million OLED microdisplay modules, and 3 million headsets.
