Apple is reportedly looking to adopt QD-OLED or WOLED panels for its 2029/2030 iMac monitors

According to reports from Korea, Apple is looking into OLED displays for its 2029 or 2030 iMac monitors, and has reached out to both Samsung Display and LG Display.

Apple, unsurprisingly, is interested in a high-end display, that will sport a high resolution and high brightness, and both SDC and LGD are developing their next-gen panels in order to satisfy Apple's demand.

Ayaneo suspents more pre-orders of its NEXT 2 OLED gaming console as memory prices sharply increase

As the memory industry is facing a sharp chip shortage and increased prices, this has implications for the OLED industry. One example is the fact that smartphone makers may opt for lower-cost LCDs over OLEDs in some devices to offset the cost, and another is that some vendors are suspending device sales due to the high prices.

Last month Valve announced it is facing challenges in its memory supply chain, and customers cannot order its Steam Deck OLED gaming console. Today we have heard that Ayaneo, another gaming console maker, that has suspended the pre-orders to its Next 2 OLED gaming console.

New OLED gadget: Dell Pro 14 Premium (PA14260)

Dell's latest 14-inch premium laptop, the Pro 14 Premium (model PA14260) offers an optional 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA) Tandem OLED touchscreen.

Other specifications include Intel's Panther Lake platform up to Core Ultra 7 366H vPro, 4-core Xe3 iGPU, up to 2TB of storage and up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 dual-channel RAM too.

Samsung Display launches a new low-reflection high-durability film for QD-OLED monitors

Samsung Display announced that it has developed a low-reflection high-durability film for QD-OLED monitors. Branded as QuantumBlack, the film reduces light reflection by 20% compared to the company's previous film and increases panel hardness to 3H (up from 2H) - indicating a high level of strength that resists scratches even when contacted by a fingernail.

Samsung says that this new film will be fully applied to all new QD-OLED monitor products launched this year. The company says it has always applied low-reflection films to its QD-OLED panels, and continues to improve this vital component.

New OLED gadget: Samsung Galaxy A37/A57

The Samsung Galaxy A37 smartphone offers a 6.7" 120Hz 1900 nits (peak) 1080x2340 Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 1480 chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. 



The Galaxy A57 has the exact same display specification - but it is listed as Super AMOLED+ (no pentile, full RGB configuration), and improved specification, including an Exynos 1680 chipset and up to 512GB of storage.
