Ruby Halkett (La Ronge)

Ruby graduated from the Adult 12 education program in May 2023. Being out of school for a few years, she decided to return to school to get her diploma and work towards achieving her future career goals. Presently, she is working casually at the Long-Term Care at the Mamawetan Churchill River Health Centre as a Recreational Worker. Ruby is continuing her educational journey with Northlands College by attending Mental Health and Wellness. There were times when Ruby wanted to give up, but she remembered that her family was depending on her to accomplish her dreams. Ruby wants to be in the healthcare field so she can make the world a better place for people who are hurting and in pain. Ruby is dedicated to her education, and she is on track to complete Mental Health and Wellness and graduate again from Northlands College is 2025.
