What needs to be in place before starting the ISO process?

The management system subject to audit and certification must be documented and implemented and in operation for at least three months. Prior to a certification audit, the customer must be able to document that internal audits and management reviews have taken place. Based on experience, it is beneficial to start the communication with Nemko at an early stage in the process of preparing for certification.

Application and complaint process

After receipt of your application for certification, Nemko will request information about the company in order to provide a quote in accordance with accreditation requirements relevant for the certification in question. All information is handled strictly confidential.

Nemko’s decision to grant, suspend or withdraw certification may be appealed to Nemko’s Appeal Committee in writing within 3 weeks from receipt of Nemko’s written decision. Complaints are addressed to the administration of Management system certification and may be escalated to Nemko’s Appeal Committee unless resolved.
