Built From Our Experience in School Improvement

Our Origins

Model Teaching was born out of our experience in school turnaround and intervention support across Texas.

Beginning in 2013, our team worked with schools to provide targeted intervention support to struggling students across hundreds of campuses in Texas. Through our intervention support work, we crafted training to rapidly improve teacher and interventionist effectiveness, immediately improving student achievement.

We realized our success in helping schools increase student test scores within one year, and often within only a few months, was directly related to the extensive training and support we provided to the teachers, interventionists, and tutors on campus.

Thus, Model Teaching was born, first as a necessity to support hundreds of teachers across Texas, then as an idea that all teachers should be able to access the same kinds of training that could improve their craft and impact their students.

What We Do Today

Model Teaching was created in 2018 to support our intervention work and launched nationwide in 2020 so that all teachers and schools could access professional development that felt immediately impactful in their classrooms.

We now provide:
