Robots Hook Up to Fly as a Single Unit

Researchers have created robots that seek each other out and then link up, Voltron-style, to form a larger flying machine.

This multi-propeller system, called the Distributed Flight Array (DFA), shows how multiple robots can sync up and become more than the sum of their parts.
