IPL 2026 Updates

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals has re claimed the IPL 2026 Orange Cap. In 15 games, Sooryavanshi has scored at a blistering strike rate of 242.85, smashing one century and four fifties. His highest score of 103 came against tough bowling attacks, and he has hammered 55 fours and 65 sixes so far. Close behind is Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans with 652 runs and a steady average of 46.57. Heinrich Klaasen from Sunrisers Hyderabad follows with 624 runs, while Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan keep the top five highly competitive. Every run in the remaining league games could shift these positions dramatically as teams push for playoff qualification.

The Orange Cap race in IPL 2026 remains intensely competitive, with several world-class batsmen pushing hard for the top position. Shubman Gill of the Gujarat Titans sits in second place with 618 runs, keeping the Orange Cap race wide open, while Heinrich Klaasen of the Sunrisers Hyderabad occupies third position with 606 runs. Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru continues to showcase his batting excellence with 600 runs in fourth place, proving why he remains one of cricket's most consistent performers. KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals follows closely in fifth with 593 runs, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals, the former Orange Cap leader, has slipped to sixth position with 583 runs. The depth of talent in the IPL 2026 Orange Cap standings is evident, with Ishan Kishan (SRH) at seventh with 569 runs and Abhishek Sharma (SRH) at eighth with 563 runs, both maintaining strong positions in the battle for the Orange Cap.

Orange Cap is given to the player who has most runs in an IPL season. Likewise, the Orange Cap shifts from one player to another depending on who tops the list at that certain point in time.
