Giorgio Armani photographed at his country home in Broni:
โIn the early 1980s, I was looking for a simple villa in the countryside where I could spend the weekends. After driving for hours with friends through the area around Pavia, a kind of Versailles in miniature suddenly appeared before us. The 1950s house was practically in ruins, but I bought it anyway. I furnished it with fireplaces, low tables, comfortable sofas and wood paneling and had the walls painted in soft colours. Today, Broni is like a theatre where I sometimes escape for a few days to open my mind to new horizonsโ. Giorgio Armani
