BEFORE your next online interview: make sure you run a quick speed test, because your internet could cost you the job. Even if your Wi-Fi feels fine, video interviews push your connection harder than normal. These steps could save your call: 1. Run a speed test - for a video interview, you want at least 10 Mbps up & down and ping <50 ms. 2. Do a test call on the same platform (Zoom, Teams, Meet). 3. If it’s shaky, move closer to your router, restart it, plug in to ethernet, or tether your phone as a backup connection. Your skills should decide the interview, not your internet. #JobInterviewTips #RemoteWork #Connectivity #Networking #VideoCalls #TechTips

Anyone else learn this the hard way? I was paying for high speed internet, but my video calls kept freezing. I thought it was my ISP. Turns out, the problem was my router placement. Routers don’t like being tucked away in closets or pushed into corners. They perform best when they’re central, elevated, and clear of walls and furniture, especially concrete or metal. Concrete will absorb the #WiFi signal, making it weaker, and metal will deflect it. The moment I moved mine closer to my workspace, the lag, dropouts, and call issues disappeared. Sometimes it’s not about upgrading your plan, it’s about making the most of the gear you already have. #Connectivity #RemoteWork #Networking #TechTips #Productivity

As someone who’s been on both sides of job #interviews, I’ve seen brilliant candidates lose their edge over something completely avoidable: their own laptop. Even with a full battery, video calls drain power fast, and a laptop running on low power mode can quietly sabotage your video quality, audio stability, or even shut off your webcam mid-interview. And a poorly-timed automatic update can cause disaster… Here’s what I recommend every candidate (and honestly, every remote professional) do before a big call: 🔌 Plug in your laptop, always. ⏸ Pause Windows Update or disable macOS auto-updates. You don’t want a surprise reboot in the middle of an important call. 🌐 Close bandwidth-hungry apps like Dropbox or OneDrive to keep your connection smooth. Your first impression should come from your skills and professionalism, not whether your system decides to restart. #RemoteWork #JobInterviewTips #VideoInterview #CareerAdvice #Connectivity #Productivity #TechTips

One cable can be the difference between nailing an interview or presentation… and apologizing to the room for 5 minutes. If you’ve ever been in the middle of a critical #Zoom meeting or job interview and suddenly froze mid-sentence, you know the frustration. 😤 When that happens, it’s usually because even with fast #Internet, your #WiFi can still betray you with lag, audio dropouts, and those awkward “Can you hear me now?” moments. The quick fix most people overlook? Plug in. A simple ethernet cable delivers you stability, lower latency, and far fewer interruptions, crucial for #RemoteWork video calls, #HybridWork collaboration, or transferring large files without errors. Stay connected and never let bad Wi-Fi cost you your moment. #ProductivityTips #WorkFromHome #Networking #CollaborationTools

At meeting, I explained how Starlink's phased array antennas work, scribbling on tiny pieces of graph paper; people were so amused they grabbed a camera and made me do it again. Enjoy!
We decided to go behind the curtain on how #Starlink dishes don’t swivel… instead, they “steer” signals electronically using hundreds of tiny antennas working together. Alexander Gizis shows us how Starlink dishes use phased array #technology and how the Starlink dish tracks fast-moving satellites without any moving parts. This innovative technology also makes the signal stronger! What a game changer in getting solid Internet where you could not before. The best part of the video is Alexander Gizis using graphic post-it notes to explain the tech. #techexplained #innovation

Ask Yourself: Build or Buy? Before jumping into your next tech solution, pause and ask: Is this our core competency? Can we build it faster and better than what's out there? What's the total cost of ownership over time? Will building slow us down—or set us apart? We are excited that companies such as MiriTech have chosen to buy!

🚀 Build vs. Buy: The Hidden Cost of Control When you're launching a new product, the "build vs. buy" debate shows up early—and loudly. Yes, building in-house gives you full control Yes, buying saves time and accelerates delivery. But the real question isn't can you build it. It's should you? A great discussion featuring Alexander Gizis and Ryan Brenneman, on the Build vs. Buy debate! Insightful, and yes, they chose Speedify #buildvsbuy #startups #productdevelopment #speedify #partnerships #focusonwhatmatters #miritech1

Amazon Project Kuiper’s is finally taking flight, with its first production satellites in orbit and beta service expected later this year. It’s a bold move into satellite broadband, aiming to connect underserved parts of the world. But here’s the catch: SpaceX’s STARLINK already has a massive head start—with over 6,000 satellites in orbit and service across 70+ countries. That’s the textbook definition of first-mover advantage. Amazon Project Kuiper may be late, but it’s not out. With deep pockets, world-class logistics, and the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) behind it, Kuiper can still be a serious contender. This raises a bigger question for anyone thinking of launching a product or business: Do you need to be first—or just better and smarter when you enter? Sometimes, being early means educating the market and burning capital. Being second (or third) means learning fast, avoiding mistakes, and executing with precision. The satellite internet space is just heating up—and it’s a powerful case study in timing, scale, and strategic entry. #ProjectKuiper #Starlink #FirstMoverAdvantage #Amazon #SpaceX #StartupStrategy #Innovation #BusinessInsights #Connectivity #SatelliteInternet #Leadership
