About us
It’s an open secret that researchers are spending considerable efforts and time preparing ‘non-conventional’ research outputs, such as grant proposals, presentations, software and data management plans etc. In their turn, each of those could: ☑save tremendous efforts to a research team somewhere around the globe, or ☑️prompt further collaboration inspired by a bright idea still in the making. Sadly enough, all those valuable write-ups and data, more often than not, end up buried on someone’s dusty hard drive. The question at hand is: Why not publish & open them up too? ➡️Visit our website to see what you can publish: https://riojournal.com/about#WhatCanIPublish

🚀 Global collaboration and the internet have transformed how scientific research is shared. 📈 To match this shift, we need modern ways to measure the impact of science online, but current web data is often messy, unorganised, and easy to manipulate. 🗺️ A new European project is stepping in to make online research metrics cleaner and more reliable. ➡️ Read the full grant proposal in our #openscience journal: https://lnkd.in/gqc_aepr Cc: Univerzitet u Novom Sadu, ZBW - Leibniz-Informationszentrum Wirtschaft / ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, University of Luxembourg, Turun yliopisto - University of Turku, Ss. 🌍 “Migration for scientists should be a personal choice, not the only path to a successful career.” 🧠 This forum paper reflects on the "brain drain" phenomenon and its impact on intellectual capital in the Global South. 🔍 Discussion focuses on the systemic barriers - from funding gaps to language hurdles - that often force highly skilled professionals to leave their home countries. 📖 Read the full reflection in our #openscience journal: https://lnkd.in/dpb7_sZw 📷 Image: A brain drain model in which insufficient policies and investment in science and technology, often associated with political and economic instability, limit research and career opportunities, motivating the emigration of highly skilled professionals to Global North countries and reducing the human capital in the countries of origin. #ScientificDiaspora #ResearchEquity Cc: UC Irvine, Wageningen University & Research, Universidade dos Açores, University of Regina, Universidad Veracruzana, Universidad Santo Tomás (CL), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam)
