NOAA National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) reposted this
I'm thrilled to announced the release of an exciting new communication and decision support tool that I spent the last year working on! The NOAA National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) and our partners launched the new Mississippi River Basin Drought and Water Dashboard this month to support drought resilience across the basin! This Dashboard allows for the exploration of drought and river conditions, forecasts, and historical information all in one place. There is some VERY cool capabilities in here, including the ability to zoom in and out of the full basin or sub-basins. Take a look, try it out, and let us know what you think! https://lnkd.in/gVEmdQTZ A huge shoutout to all off the regional and state partners that provided feedback on how to ensure this was useful for the Basin. I learned so much. Also, many kudos to the stellar team at NIDIS and NOAA NCEI that helped make this a reality. So proud to work with this team!

From Dust to Deluge: Weather Whiplash Devastates Texas Weather whiplash is the abrupt change from one extreme to another: dramatic temp swings, heavy snow to rapid melt, and as is common in TX, prolonged drought followed by flooding.
