Since 2017, Laptop Upcycle has delivered more than 2,100 laptops and hundreds of free WiFi hotspots to students in our local public schools. Our simple mission is to help young people get the technology they need to succeed — and to give back to the community while doing it. Together, we’re bridging the digital divide and building a stronger, more connected community.

What We Do
How We Do It
- Give computers (and WiFi) to local kids in need so they can do their homework or participate in remote learning
- Teach local kids (and adults) to refurbish donated laptops. Volunteers learn technical skills and receive community service hours.
- Repurpose laptops (and other tech) to keep it out of the waste stream and give it a new life
- Partner with local nonprofits and like minded agencies to support those in need
- Work with local schools and educators to connect those in need with the technology we provide
- Promote and educate the community about our mission
How We Do It
- We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
- We are made up of 100% volunteers, as is our Board of Directors.
- We support a lab environment where we accept, test, renovate, stock, and distribute laptops (and other tech) from.
- We work to establish and nourish relationships locally and outside town to fund and promote our operations.
- We are passionate about our mission.
