Venice of the East - this sobriquet attributed to Lord Curzon, the viceroy during the British India period is noted for its unending stretch of paddy fields, and is considered as the rice bowl of Kerala. Small streams, backwater expanses, canals, lush green coconut palms make Alappuzha, formerly known as Aleppey, a unique piece of land in Kerala. It once had trade relations with ancient Greece and Rome. Alappuzha town is marked by crisscrossing roads, canals and bridges and has a beautiful coastline with an old port.
The property is well located in the middle of Alappuzha town, by the side of the national highway.

Cancellation policy applicable to KTDC properties with effect from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027
For OTA's / KTDC Online module / Direct Bookings / Travel agents (FIT)
From 1st April to 19th December & from 6th January to 31st March:
- Cancellations made 72 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time will not incur any cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled check-in time will result in the forfeiture of advance equivalent to one night’s applicable tariff for the total number of rooms booked.
- Non-arrival on the scheduled date will be considered as "no-show" and the full advance will be forfeited.
From 20th December to 5th January & Onam / Diwali / Pooja Holidays:
- Cancellations made 14 days prior to the scheduled check-in date will not incur any cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled check-in date will result in the forfeiture of advance equivalent to one night’s applicable tariff for the total number of rooms booked.
- No-show: Full advance will be forfeited.

Onam / Diwali / Pooja Holidays - 2026-2027:
- Onam Holidays: 22nd to 29th August 2026

- Diwali Holidays: 8th to 14th November 2026
