The Flight Attendant and The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco is set to lead buzzy series package Vanished, which AGC Television is launching for this week’s Series Mania in Lille, where it’ll likely be the hottest brand new show on sale.

Starring in the suspense drama alongside Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Cuoco will be Sam Claflin (Peaky Blinders), three-time Cesar winner Karin Viard (The Bélier Family) and German actor Matthias Schweighöfer (Army of the Dead).

The logline reads: When a romantic getaway to Paris takes a dark turn with the sudden disappearance of her boyfriend Tom (Claflin) aboard a train to the south of France, Alice (Cuoco) is plunged into a web of intrigue and danger, uncovering shocking secrets about the man she thought she knew.

Producer, director and Ealing Studios owner Barnaby Thompson (Pixie) is directing ahead of production beginning April 28 on locations in Paris and Marseilles. Stuart Ford’s AGC Television, whose credits include Those About to Die and The Tindler Swindler, will fully finance and co-produce; a co-production deal with Germany’s ARD Degeto is already at an advanced stage.

The series is created by David Hilton and Preston Thompson, written by Preston Thompson (Pixie) and executive-produced by James Clayton (Slow Burn Entertainment), David Kosse (Rockwood Pictures), Barnaby Thompson (Fragile Films), Preston Thompson and AGC’s Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz and Miguel A. Palos Jr.

John Bernard, CEO of Peninsula Film will provide production services in France. AGC’s VP Legal & Business Affairs Conor McElroy negotiated the deal on behalf of AGC.

Cuoco can be seen starring in the second season of Peacock’s dark comedic thriller Based on a True Story. Prior to that, she received back-to-back Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Emmy nominations for The Flight Attendant.

The Hunger Games and Peaky Blinder star Claflin’s recent work includes Prime Video series Daisy Jones & the Six, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Up next, he will star in Amazon limited series Lazarus.

French vet Karin Viard, a 13-time Cesar nominee, is well known for movies including Polisse, La famille Bélier, Jalouse and Chanson Douce. In 2024, she starred in the series Dans l’ombre and has Fils De and La Maison Des Femmes upcoming.

Schweighöfer, one of Germany’s leading actors, is known for Valkyrie alongside Tom Cruise and Kenneth Branagh, the Milli Vanilli biopic Girl You Know It’s True, Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. The multihyphenate produced, directed and starred in the first German-language Amazon Original Series You Are Wanted and directed, produced and starred in Army of Thieves, the prequel to Army of the Dead.

Cuoco is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, SDB Partners, and Hansen Jacobson; Claflin is represented by UTA, Independent Talent Group and Doug Stone; Viard is repped by Agence Adequat; Schweighöfer is repped by UTA, and Untitled Entertainment; Barnaby Thompson is repped by 42; Preston Thompson is repped by Untitled Entertainment and CAA.

As the paid spokesperson for Priceline, Kaley Cuoco does a lot of traveling. While chatting with Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall, she shared her top travel tips for traveling with her daughter, along with her travel hot takes.

Jennifer March 11, 2025

Kaley Cuoco has traveled to some of the dreamiest destinations around the world for work, including Thailand to film the first season of Max’s Flight Attendant, which premiered in 2020, and Berlin for the 2024 Prime Video movie “Role Play.” But of all the beautiful places she’s traveled for work, Iceland was her favorite.

“I didn’t know what to expect, and I hate being cold, but it ended up being truly one of my favorite places I’ve ever been,”The Big Bang Theory star told Travel + Leisure in an interview last week.

Shooting the second season of Flight Attendant in Iceland during a December a few years back, she experienced only a few hours of daylight, which was “a wild adventure.” Even so, she was taken by the friendliness of the locals, the ease of getting around, and the “stunning” views at every turn. “You’re surrounded by glaciers and open sky, and the food was amazing,” she said. “I can’t say enough good things.”

Cuoco has long been a proponent of making those fantasy trips a reality. That’s why she’s teamed up with Priceline on a new campaign to stop people from “dreamscrolling,” or just imagining themselves on those dream getaways, and actually book the trip.

“We all do it, whether we’re dreamscrolling through vacations, a new home, or certain makeup, we just keep going, going, going,” she said. “I love that with this campaign, we’re popping in and saying, stop. When you book that trip, most of the time, it’s the right idea, and you won’t regret it.”

Despite the far-flung places Cuoco’s work has taken her, when it comes to her own leisure travels, she prefers to stay low-key. “Upstate New York is our happy place,” she said of herself, partner Tom Pelphrey, their 23-month-old daughter Matilda, and their dog. “It’s always a dream trip since we don’t get out there often, but it’s a very special place for us and our family.”

Kaley Cuoco has been to some of the most beautiful destinations in the world, but one spot holds a special place in her heart.

The Big Bang Theory alum, 39, recently opened up about her favorite travel destination and why it’s become a meaningful escape for her and her family, while chatting with PEOPLE for her latest Priceline campaign.

“I think my happy place is Upstate New York,” Cuoco shared. “Tom and I have a place there, and it is in the middle of nowhere. It’s so magical. It was the first place I went to visit when I met him, and it became such a special place for us.”

Cuoco met her partner, Tom Pelphrey, 42, in New York, and the location has since been a touchstone in their relationship. “Tom’s from New Jersey, and I’ve been going to New York for years,” she added. “It has a special place in my heart, but meeting Tom there made it even more meaningful.”

Now, the couple is excited to share their serene retreat with their nearly 2-year-old daughter, Matilda. “Once she can sit in the car a little longer, we’re going to take her,” Cuoco said. “It’s definitely my happy place.”

While travel holds a sentimental value for Cuoco, she acknowledges that planning a trip isn’t always easy. Cuoco’s latest campaign with Priceline is all about making travel more accessible and inspiring people to turn their dream trips into reality. “Priceline is going to make it easy,” she told PEOPLE. “They want to make it affordable and encourage you to take that trip — whether it’s a family reunion, a girls’ weekend, or just a much-needed getaway.”

Like many people, Cuoco admitted that it’s easy to find excuses not to travel, but she emphasized the importance of just going for it.

“We keep saying we want to do it, and I know sometimes it’s hard to plan. Even recently, Tom and I were like, ‘We can’t go away for two days.’ Then I thought, ‘No, we’re doing this. We’re booking it. We’re going.’ And it was the best decision we made.”

Cuoco’s philosophy aligns well with her latest Priceline ad, which aims to get travelers off the sidelines and into their dream vacations. Starting March 25 through April 6, the travel booking site is offering “buzzer beater” deals for men’s and women’s basketball fans. Sports lovers can save on hotels in the tournament’s host cities for a limited time before each round.

For Cuoco, travel isn’t just about the destination — it’s about the feeling you bring home with you. “You never book a trip, go, and then think, ‘Oh, I wish I didn’t go.’ You’re always happy you made that decision. It’s the memories — that’s what life’s about.”

Harley Quinn is back — but now she’s on Superman’s turf.

Season 5 of the adult animated series Harley Quinn premieres on Max this week, and it starts with a major move for the titular protagonist (voiced by Kaley Cuoco) and her girlfriend Poison Ivy (Lake Bell ). Fearing that their relationship is growing stale and bored of seeing the same old Gotham City faces over and over again, Harley and Ivy decide to spice things up by moving to Metropolis, the sunny city of the future that often feels like the polar opposite of Batman’s crime-infested hometown.

The Metropolis move means lots of changes in the show’s superhero terrain. Viewers should expect to see more of Superman’s supporting cast in season 5 — like Lois Lane (Natalie Morales), Brainiac (Stephen Fry), and Lena Luthor (Aisha Tyler) — and a little less of the Bat-family. But Cuoco also likes the status-quo change-up for what it reflects about romance.

“I think it’s hilarious that they’re moving to Metropolis to spice up their relationship. They’re so realistic,” Cuoco tells Entertainment Weekly. “That’s what I find so endearing about the show. The fights they have, and the insecurities that Harley has sometimes with Ivy, feel like a real relationship. That’s so crazy to say, but it’s very relatable.”

Cuoco is an executive producer on Harley Quinn, but as much as she appreciates the Metropolis move, she says she stays out of the writing process, in part because she wants her line readings to feel as fresh as possible.

It helps that her vocal performances are directed by Charlie Adler, who Cuoco has known since she was a teenager. They worked together on the Disney Channel animated series Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, about an anthropomorphic dog and rabbit who get stuck in the Amazon rainforest together. A young Cuoco voiced Brandy, while Adler voiced Mr. Whiskers.

“I’ve known him for almost my entire adult life,” Cuoco says of Adler. “So he directs me in this, and when I go in, it’s always a cold read for me. That’s very shocking for some people to hear. Since season 1, after I realized what the show was and we moved forward, I always go in cold. I would not recommend that for other shows, but with this show specifically, when I read it for the first time, there’s something very real about it. She’s so chaotic and so all over the place that it encourages me to be off the wall and to do it in the moment.”

Cuoco adds, “I come at it differently than I would if I was on camera, and it makes it more fun. She’s so psychotic and gets to go in so many different directions. There’s such a freedom in playing Harley. Whenever I leave those recording sessions, I feel like I need to take a nap.”

Cuoco has been voicing Harley for five seasons now, and it doesn’t look like the show is going anywhere anytime soon, even with the new DC regime overseen by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Showrunner Dean Lorey, who also worked with Gunn on the recent animated series Creature Commandos, previously told EW that “we want to keep the Harley-verse separate as its own thing.”

Even so, last year saw other interpretations of Harley emerge. Jamie Chung voiced a much different version of the character (Asian-American and living in a ’50s-esque Gotham City) on Batman: Caped Crusader, while Lady Gaga portrayed a more down-to-earth incarnation in Joker: Folie à Deux.

“Everyone’s bringing their spin to it, and I think that’s going to happen for years to come,” Cuoco says. “I can’t wait to see who else gets to step into these shoes. She’s an iconic character and it’s an honor to be able to bring her voice and watch these other actresses bring her to life. I think it’s really cool.”

The first episode of Harley Quinn season 5 is streaming now on Max, with subsequent episodes arriving on Thursdays through the rest of the season.
