I’m Jeffrey Lewis Bennett a classically trained artist turned photographer. I’ve put my energy into creating a unique cinematic aesthetic while covering events all over the country. I love when couples complement my "dark and moody vibe", just know I also include vibrant photos full of joy. I’m looking to collaborate with couples who want to make art on their most special of days.
Eye for design.
I approach photography through the eye of a designer (my job before photography took over my life). Striving for dramatically lit and structured compositions, I’m often highlighting the surroundings or architecture as much as the subjects. I also always aim for a balance of serious and fun, both candid and editorial imagery. Couples often remark that their favorite images look like fashion or fine art photography.
Inclusive Wedding Photographer
I’ve been lucky enough to photograph a wide variety of weddings involving various flavors of the world’s religions, cultures, traditions, and orientations. If your wedding is something I’ve never experienced that makes me really excited.
Setting the tone for the day & night.
I’m a great choice if you desire a positive experience. I’m consistently told that working with me is easy, fun, and relaxing. On the day of I tend to focus on the couple and everyone that gravitates to them, but never ignore family, bridesmaids, groomsmen or the bigger picture of the event. It’s also nice that your photos (and GIFs) won’t look like everyone else’s.
I started making animated GIFs in 2010. At first they were just a creative outlet. I wasn't sure anyone would actually be interested in them. Turns out they pair well with social media.
