In the upcoming posts I describe some of the (small) issues I ran into and how to solve them.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing I did when setting up my development environment was downloading the <a href=\"http:\/\/wso2.com\/products\/developer-studio\/\">Developer Studi<\/a>o (64-bit version) on my Mac.<\/p>\n<p>After unzipping the downloaded zip file you see the Eclipse icon like this:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.javacodegeeks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/eclipse-folder.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-33871\" src=\"http:\/\/www.javacodegeeks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/eclipse-folder-300x199.png\" alt=\"eclipse-folder\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.javacodegeeks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/eclipse-folder-300x199.png 300w, https:\/\/www.javacodegeeks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/eclipse-folder.png 758w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nHowever after double clicking the icon Eclipse doesn\u2019t start\u2026 Great way to start with the product !<\/p>\n<p>Although this issue is described on <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.wso2.com\/display\/DVS370\/Installation#Installation-Completeinstallation\">their installation page<\/a> this isn\u2019t exactly the information I read before starting a Java IDE like Eclipse. But it turns out that you have to adjust the file permissions for the Studio to work on a Mac.
