Niranjan Shankar

Niranjan Shankar is senior software engineer at Microsoft and works on networking and zero-trust security extensions for Kubernetes-based applications. He also works as a non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute's Strategic Technology and Cybersecurity Program, where he focuses on emerging technology and cybersecurity policy, great power rivalry, and US Middle East Policy. His other writings on foreign policy, tech/cyber, and history have appeared for the Hoover Institution, the Washington Examiner, RealClearMarkets, Quillette, the Bulwark, the Geopolitics and several other publications.
