On May 25 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect. The GDPR is a European Union (EU) privacy law which intends to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union. This law affects business around the world if they process "personally identifiable data" from EU citizens.
Since an organization's failure to comply with the GDPR can lead to be high fines it is important to validate your compliance.

What do Informizely customers need to do?

If you are processing personal data from EU citizens using Informizely, the GDPR designates you as a Data Controller that uses Informizely as a Data Processor, and you may want to enter into a Data Processing Agreement with Informizely to lay down both parties' rights and duties in writing. For this purpose Informizely has prepared a Data Processing Addendum, as add-on to Informizely's Terms of Use. This pre-signed agreement can be requested at [email protected].

Please also ensure that you properly communicate to your users how you are using Informizely and similar services (e.g. in your Privacy Policy or by other means).
