IFPA European Pinball Championship Recap

This past Saturday and Sunday, the 10th annual IFPA European Pinball Championship was held at Lund Pinball Academy. A field of 64 based on the ECS standings traveled to Lund, Sweden, to crown a new European Pinball Champion.

Congratulations to Viggo Löwgren of Furulund, Sweden, our 2026 IFPA European Pinball Champion! Viggo defeated on the way to his title Ralf Lindinger, Andrew Foster, Jiro Suvanto, Pontus Qvarfordh in the Semi-Finals and defending Champion Timber Engelbeen in the Finals.

Viggo won a NIB pinball machine courtesy of Stern Pinball. Fifth placed Jiro Suvanto from Helsinki, Finland won the very last spot to compete at the IFPA21 World Pinball Championships to be held in De Pere, Wisconsin later this year.

Congrats to the top 4 finalists, who played amazingly well all weekend. Our gratitude goes out to all the competitors who came to support the event and make it a success.

Thanks as well to the incredible crew at Lund Pinball Academy, especially to Jan Anders Nilsson, Mattias Jeppsson (Tech), Pontus Qvarfordh (Tech), Fredrik Löwgren (for bringing the Vinyl Player) and to all other little helpers!

We look forward to next year’s event to be held in Landshut, Germany at Flipperkeller Landshut on April 16-18.

IFPA Women’s European Pinball Championship Recap

This past Friday, the inaugural IFPA Women’s European Pinball Championship was held at Lund Pinball Academy. A field of 16 of Europe’s top women competitors based on women’s events in the 2025 qualifying year traveled to Lund, Sweden, to crown the first IFPA Women’s European Pinball Champion.

After a long and spirited afternoon of round-robin qualifying, the top 8 players moved on to compete in a single-elimination best-of-7 bracket.

Congratulations to Kate Rothwell-Jackson from the UK, our 2026 IFPA Women’s European Champion! She went into the playoffs as top seed after a stellar performance throughout qualifying, and she and her finals opponent Karyn Kiser from Sweden delivered a great final round, ending with a 4-2 victory for Kate. She won €500, and she and Karyn both won a spot to compete in the IFPA European Pinball Championships, held at Lund Pinball Academy the same weekend.

Claire Lickman from the UK and Nora Sommerfeldt from Norway placed 3rd and 4th respectively, decided in a best-of-3 bronze match where Claire won 2-1. Congrats to our amazing top 4 finalists, who are all taking home LP-sized picture vinyls as trophies. We’re so grateful to all the players who traveled to compete – you helped make this first year of the IFPA WEPC a success.

2026 IFPA WWC Recap

This past Saturday and Sunday, the 9th annual IFPA Women’s World Pinball Championship was held at Lyons Classic Pinball. A field of 32 of the world’s top women competitors based on both open and women’s-only standings traveled to Lyons, Colorado, to crown a new Women’s World Pinball Champion.

After a long and exciting day of qualifying – consisting of 4-player groups competing in 8 rounds of 3-game matches – the top 16 players moved on to compete in a single-elimination best-of-7 bracket.

Congratulations to Emily Reilhan of Port Moody, British Columbia, our 2026 IFPA Women’s World Champion! Emily won this title just two days after her historic win in the Women’s North American Pinball Championship. She and her finals opponent Ashley Weaver both earned double byes in qualifying, with Emily as top qualifier. Both women had unbelievably strong play all weekend long. 

Emily won a NIB pinball machine courtesy of Stern Pinball, as well as a reserved spot to compete at the IFPA21 World Pinball Championships to be held in De Pere, Wisconsin, later this year. 

Kaylee Campbell and Samantha Bacon placed 3rd and 4th respectively, decided in a best-of-3 bronze match where Kaylee won 2-0.

Congrats to our phenomenal top 4 finalists, and our warm thanks to all the competitors who came to support the championship and make it a success.

Massive thanks as well to our incredible hosts at Lyons Classic Pinball. Their team put together a world-class championship weekend, complete with 3 side tournaments and a cozy, well-stocked players’ lounge, courtesy of Comet Pinball. We are also grateful to Gordon Brown for lending his videography talents.

2025-26 IFPA WNACS Recap

This past Friday, 51 players from 4 Canadian provinces, 46 US states, and the District of Columbia gathered in Lyons, Colorado, to compete in the 3rd annual Women’s North American Pinball Championship. Held at Lyons Classic Pinball, the event marked another year of growth for the Women’s North American Championship Series initiative.

Congratulations to our 2026 Women’s North American Pinball Champion and Canadian Women’s National Pinball Champion, Emily Reilhan from British Columbia. Coming in as the 5th seed, she played some incredible pinball and prevailed in the single-elimination, best-of-7 bracket, ending with a 4-1 win against Paige Peck in the finals. Along with the championship titles, Emily won a NIB pinball machine from Stern Pinball.

Congratulations as well to Paige Peck from Utah for her stellar play across the championship. As the highest finisher of any US state, she is our 2026 US Women’s National Pinball Champion. 

Joining Emily and Paige in the top 4 were Ashley Weaver and Kassidy Milanowski, who took 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Our thanks to all the competitors for coming out to support the event. Massive thanks as well to the whole team at Lyons Classic PInball for hosting such a high-quality championship, including 3 great side tournaments.
