Scott – Redefining a Business Model in Albuquerque

The Challenge


Scott Ashcraft, founder of Las Ventanas, had long been a builder of custom and spec homes. As the housing market shifted, he diversified his revenue streams and has become the premier ADU builder in his area.

The Solution


Scott embraced Additional Dwelling Units (ADUs) as Albuquerque pushed for higher-density housing. Together, he created Casitas — a distinct brand, website, and sales process under Las Ventanas. Marketing, advertising, and sales were streamlined into a scalable “machine” to establish Scott as the market leader for ADUs. Together, we built the sales process, created the ICP, and established sales and marketing targets.

We worked together on a development strategy and created a path and a plan for success moving forward. What began as a mix of custom homes and spec builds evolved when a national builder expressed interest. Rather than raising investor capital, Scott structured a transaction to sell all 56 lots in two tranches, eliminating risk while securing a profitable outcome.
