
The world of vulnerability information is changing rapidly and the systems we relied upon for a long time is having issues with funding, scalability and trust. As a community, we need to join forces and discuss where to go from here. There any many vulnerability databases, both commercial and freely available, that provide critical data for keeping our systems and products secure. The main free ones, CVE and NVD, has experience problems during the last year which creates a lot of uncertainty. The community works together to both ensure continuos availability of freely available vulnerability information as well as agreeing on a long term plan for the governance of these systems. The GVIP Summit is the place to meet and discuss where we are and what we want in the future. Welcome!
