State Farm Business Cash Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card Introduction
It’s rare for a credit card to offer insurance premiums as one of its bonus categories, but the State Farm® Business Cash Rewards Visa Signature® Card* is a prominent exception. Cardholders earn 3% cash back on insurance premium payments, up to $4,000 spent annually, 3% cash back at gas and EV stations, cell phone service providers, office supply stores and on dining purchases and 1% cash back on other purchases.
Note that purchases classified as insurance qualify for the bonus earnings, not just those made with State Farm. Also, all the card’s bonus categories earn the same 3% rate. That’s an improvement over State Farm’s consumer rewards card, the State Farm Premier Cash Rewards Visa Signature® Card*, which earns just 2% on its noninsurance bonus categories.
The State Farm Business Cash Rewards card could also save you money should you, unfortunately, need to make an auto insurance claim. Cardholders who experience a covered loss can receive up to $200 in deductible reimbursement if they made at least eight net purchases in the month prior to the loss.
While many business credit cards offer an intro APR for purchases, the State Farm® Business Cash Rewards Visa Signature® Card* stands out by also extending its offer to balance transfers. New cardholders can get a 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for the first 12 billing cycles, then a standard APR of 18.24% - 27.24% variable applies. Balance transfer fee of 3% of the amount of each transfer, $5 min. applies.
Other benefits available with the State Farm Business card include an annual $100 software credit with qualifying purchases, cellphone protection and purchase security. The card also doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees. While that’s a fairly standard perk for business travel cards, it’s one that’s often missing from cash-back business cards.
So what are the downsides? For one, it doesn’t offer a welcome bonus. Also, since the card earns cash back, there’s less redemption flexibility than business cards which earn points transferable points.

The Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card earns 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services each account anniversary year and 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year. State Farm® Business Cash Rewards Visa Signature® Card* vs. Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card
Chase’s Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card earns 1.5% cash back rewards on every business purchase, you’re not limited to certain categories. It also has a solid welcome offer: Earn $750 bonus cash back after spending $6,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.
