Shawn Ashmore & Elizabeth Mitchell in 'The Huntsman' Thriller Trailer
"Get 'em out of here!" "Who?" "All of these people..." What is even going on in this film? Epic Pictures has revealed the official trailer for an indie horror film titled The Huntsman, coming up for release starting in February including on VOD right away. Not sure this one is worth a watch... This chilling mystery thriller hasn't played at any festivals despite a few familiar faces in the cast. When an ICU nurse volunteers to help a coma patient accused of murdering six women, he’s drawn into a chilling web of lies, obsession, and deadly secrets as a detective races to stop the killer. A psychological crime thriller centered around a modern day serial killer dubbed The Huntsman evoking the fairy tale of Snow White. It's adapted directly from Judith Sanders' novel of the same name. The film stars Shawn Ashmore, Elizabeth Mitchell, Jessy Schram, Brent Bailey, Maddison Bullock, & Garret Dillahunt. Unfortuantely this is a bad trailer - all underlit and just boring. Another one of these instantly forgettable direct-to-VOD mediocre thrillers we can ignore.
Wanda Sykes & Bentley Green in Boxing Film 'Undercard' Full Trailer
"This is your time. Our time. You're a born fighter. Do what we came here to do!" 🥊 Seismic Releasing has unveiled the official trailer for the film Undercard, another boxing drama about a young boxer and what it takes to win. After premiering at a festival last year, this film is set to hit theaters starting in February this winter. Through the eyes of a former champion-turned-trainer, Undercard is a character-driven drama that explores the enduring bonds of family, the weight of legacy, and the cost—and possibility—of hard-earned redemption. A old timer boxing trainer & former champ attempts to re-connect with the son she abandoned, by becoming his trainer when he needs to fight his way back up to the top. Starring Wanda Sykes and Bentley Green, with Xavier Mills, William Stanford Davis, Roselyn Sánchez, Berto Colón, and Estella Kahiha. "Green delivers a remarkable, heartfelt performance as her son, bringing real depth to their story. [It's] about resilience, courage, and the battles we fight both in and out of the ring." Take a look.

Action-Packed Full Trailer #2 for 'Crime 101' Los Angeles Heist Movie
"Let him rob the courier... and then you'll rob him." Who's ready to join this heist? Amazon MGM Studios debuted their second official trailer for the exciting heist thriller movie called Crime 101, by director Bart Layton (of The Imposter, American Animals). This is set to hit theaters everywhere starting in February in a month from now. The movie is centered on detective Lou Lubesnick, played by Ruffalo, tracking a complex jewel thief who is adhering to the "Crime 101" rules - a strict set of guidelines for the perfect heist without ever being caught. It's based on Don Winslow's story of the same name. As the big multimillion-dollar heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all of the players are forced to confront the cost of their choices – and the realization that there's no turning back. The main ensemble cast in Crime 101 includes Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, with Nick Nolte and Halle Berry. This is an entertaining trailer that actually makes me want to watch this and find out how it all plays out. But I have a feeling this movie is going to flop in theaters. Is anyone planning to see it on the big screen? What do you make of this action-packed trailer?
Keke Palmer & Jack Whitehall in 'The Burbs' Remake Series Full Trailer
"What if it's not him we need to be worried about?" Peacock has revealed the full official trailer for their new remake of the movie The 'Burbs, the 80s comedy classic with Tom Hanks & Bruce Dern. This brand new series also called just The 'Burbs is another bizarre choice to remake the same as the Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead last year. Especially because this will never live up to the original since it's a hit comedy favorite among so many people. Set in present-day suburbia, The 'Burbs follows a young couple returning to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when new neighbors move in next door, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and perhaps even new deadly threats that will shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood. The impressive cast features: Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, Kapil Talwalkar; along with guest stars including Haley Joel Osment, RJ Cyler, Justin Kirk, Kyrie McAlpine, and many others. This trailer unfortunately makes this series look rather forgettable, despite Keke & Jack leading the cast. I wish this looked funnier! Not enough good laughs.
'Don't Hate Me, Bro' - In Defense of Avatar Sequels 'Spider' Character
"Bro, you're right. He's, like, in every shot. Bro, look, look, he's giving her the looks." Don't hate on my bro Spider! He doesn't deserve this! For the last three years ever since Avatar: The Way of Water opened in theaters I've been out there defending my bro Spider. In all honesty, I do not really understand the hate. He has been called the Jar Jar Binks of Avatar, which doesn't even make sense, plus he's not even remotely as annoying as Jar Jar. Just because he says "bro" all the time and has dreadlocks, that's why so many people don't like him? Come on. Now that Avatar: Fire and Ash is finally out, it's time to discuss his importance in these sequels - especially because he becomes the centerpiece of Fire and Ash, literally evolving into the "unobtanium" valuable asset in this sequel. I know I'm probably not the only defender, but I definitely feel alone saying that Spider is one of my favorite characters in the Avatar sequels. Not only is he a vital part of the story connecting both sides, but I think he gives a wholesome performance and he embodies the "human kid who wishes he was a Na'vi" mentality perfectly hopping around the huge trees and swinging everywhere.
Save the Pub Beer-Brewing UK Movie 'Mother's Pride' Official Trailer
"Worst pub in Britain competing for the best beer." This looks like a fun one for beer lovers everywhere! 🍻 Entertainment Film Distributors in the UK has revealed the official trailer for a charming feel-good comedy about beer called Mother's Pride, set for a British release this March in theaters in both Ireland + across the UK. A grieving family who own a failing pub have their lives changed by brewing real ale and entering the Great British Beer Awards. From the team behind Finding Your Feet and Fisherman's Friends comes Mother's Pride, a story about the Harley family who after losing their matriarch, must come together to save their pub and village through the art of beer-brewing. They put together and ale and enter the competition to try and win some money. Mother's Pride stars Martin Clunes, James Buckley, Mark Addy, Luke Treadaway, Gabriella Wilde, and Jonno Davies. Looks like it should be an entirely amusing watch. 🍺
Madelyn Keys in Figure Skaters Drama Series 'Finding Her Edge' Trailer
"If you want to win, then this is what you have to do." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a figuring skating drama series titled Finding Her Edge, which is quite a double entendre title to use for his young lovers story. This series will be out for streaming later this month for anyone interested. A former ice dancer returns to the rink with an exciting new partner while holding onto feelings for her old one — her first love. "There's a thin line between love and skate." Of course. Three sisters – heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty – navigate the pressures of their family's skating legacy. Adriana, trains with new partner Brayden while still loving ex-partner Freddie. A fake romance off the ice with Brayden for a sponsorship deal adds to her challenges. The series stars Madelyn Keys as Adriana, Harmon Walsh, Alexandra Beaton, Cale Ambrozic, Olly Atkins, Meredith Forlenza, Alice Malakhov, Niko Ceci, Millie Davis. As expected this looks super cheesy and very schmaltzy, but that's the point with a series about teen romance + skating.
Alien in a Body Thriller 'The Infinite Husk' Trailer with Peace Ikediuba
"If you fail this mission, you will never come home.?" Chroma has revealed the official trailer for an indie sci-fi film titled The Infinite Husk, ready for release starting in February in a few select theaters at first. It initially premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival last year and it also played at the Sitges Film Festival in the fall. The Infinite Husk is described as a "gritty, sci-fi thriller" that interrogates the human experience through the exiled extraterrestrial consciousness, Vel. Forced to occupy the human body of this young Black woman on Earth, she is sent on a treacherous mission to spy on one of her own kind in order to uncover the potential threat of a new & dangerous type of science. Huh, okay. Starring Peace Ikediuba as the alien, with Circus-Szalewski, Geena Alexandra, William Thomas Jones, Jyl Haruye Kineshiro, and Gary Lee Reed. This looks extra strange and kooky and a bit too abstract to actually make for a good film. I'm still quite curious about it – to see just how far they push this alien-inhabiting-a-human-body concept.
Olivia Colman & John Lithgow Co-Star in 'Jimpa' Official US Trailer
"I was thinking Francis needs to get out of Adelaide before it suffocates." Kino Lorber has debuted the full official US trailer for an indie film titled Jimpa, a tender and heartfelt story of LGBTQ life from Australian filmmaker Sophie Hyde. This initially premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival one year ago to rather mixed reviews even though I'm a fan of it (and also quoted in here). It's the latest film from Sophie Hyde (following Good Luck to You, Leo Grande) and will be releasing in the US this February. Hannah and her non-binary teenager Frances visits her gay grandfather Jimpa living in Amsterdam. Frances expresses a desire to stay with their grandfather for a year, challenging Hannah's parenting beliefs and forcing her to confront past issues. Starring John Lithgow as Jimpa, Olivia Colman as Hannah, Aud Mason-Hyde as Frances, with Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Kate Box, and Daniel Henshall. "With warmth, humour and joy, Jimpa reminds us that, in every family, there are stories that don't add up." I'm listed in this trailer from my Sundance review. Even with mixed reviews I think it is a wholesome, uplifting film about finding your way.
Official Trailer for 'Drops of God' Wine Connoisseur Series - Season 2
"The wine you are looking for doesn't belong to us... it belongs to God." And I want to try it! 🍇 Apple TV has revealed the full official trailer for Season 2 of the entrancing wine lovers series called Drops of God, which originally premiered with Season 1 back in 2023 during the pandemic. I'm a big fan of this show! And of course they went and made a sequel! Time to top up your glass: a new season of the globe-trotting wine odyssey is about to be served this winter. Actors Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita return as the duo Camille and Issei. Set in the high-stakes world of fine wines and gastronomy, Season 2 continues with another exciting mission: to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine, a mystery so profound that even their legendary father, Alexandre Léger, could not solve it... But what begins as a pursuit of legacy, becomes a search for truth that spans continents and centuries, unearthing forgotten histories, hidden rivalries and secrets buried for generations. The full cast also includes Tom Wozniczka, Makiko Watanabe, Satoshi Nikaido, Gustave Kervern, Cécile Bois, Luca Terracciano, Diego Ribon. This next season looks like a dark thriller, with murder and conspiracies and everything. Huh, okay. Still will be watching this anyway.
Funny Trailer for 'Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man!' Documentary
"I was born to make people laugh – so I do that!" HBO Max has revealed the full trailer for a documentary titled Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man!, a profile of the iconic comedy mastermind. He's still alive! And is about to turn 100 years old later this year! The two-part doc follows the life, career, friendships, and loves of legendary writer, director, producer, and performer Mel Brooks, chronicling his early experiences and rise to superstardom. "Meet the man behind the laughs." Made by directors Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio - premiering on HBO to watch later this month. The film features new interviews with Mel Brooks himself, as well as the comedians he has inspired including Ben Stiller, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Nick Kroll, Patton Oswalt, Dave Chappelle, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, and Tracey Ullman; filmmakers including Rob Reiner, Robert Townsend, Peter Farrelly, Jerry & David Zucker, Barry Levinson, and David Lynch; actors Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga, Cary Elwes, Matthew Broderick, and Nathan Lane; Brooks’ children Stefanie, Nicolas, Eddie, and Max; and granddaughter Samantha. This looks like tons of fun! And made by Judd Apatow you know he's going to get the real Mel chatting it up on camera.
Mysterious Horror Thriller Film 'Honey Bunch' Trailer with Jason Isaacs
"Everything is gonna go back to normal... it might just take a little more time." Shudder has revealed the official trailer for the film Honey Bunch, an indie horror thriller from filmmakers Madeleine Sims-Fewer & Dusty Mancinelli as their second feature. This initially premiered at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival a year ago and it will be streaming to watch starting in February on Shudder. When Diana wakes up from a coma with memory loss, she and her husband seek experimental treatments. Her peculiar husband takes her to a trauma facility deep in the wilderness, but she can't remember why... As more troubling memories from her relationship begin to come vividly back to her, Diana must confront the possibility her recovery may come at a cost far greater than she imagined—one that threatens to unravel a sinister truth about her marriage. The indie horror stars Grace Glowicki, Ben Petrie, Jason Isaacs, Katie Dickie, India Brown, Julian Richings. This looks like it has plenty of freaky ideas in it & some clever shots for horror fans to appreciate.
