# Get the status of streams

**GET /_streams/status**

Get the current status for all types of streams.

## Required authorization

* Cluster privileges: `monitor`

### Query parameters
- **master_timeout** (string)
  Period to wait for a connection to the master node. If no response is received before the timeout expires, the request fails and returns an error.
