The Mount, built by Edith Wharton in 1902, is a historic house museum, cultural center, and public park. We present over 100 programs year-round, including tours, author talks, readings, live music, children’s programs, outdoor sculptures, and more.

Our Main House, Bookstore, and Terrace Café will open for our 2025 season on May 10, 2025! 

The gardens and grounds are free and open daily from dawn to dusk.
