Export/Import Knowledge Base Configuration

Knowledge Base configuration can easily be exported and imported. Consider the following use cases:
- Export KB configuration as a backup.
- Migrate KB configuration from one site to another.
- Test major changes to the KB configuration.
- Synchronize settings across multiple knowledge bases This requires the Multiple KBs add-on. Learn More.
1 a) Export KB Configuration
Select the correct Knowledge Base to export configuration from.
2 b) Import KB Configuration
Ensure that you have selected the correct KB in the top right corner list.
Before importing the KB configuration, export it as a backup.
Select the block you want to copy and click on three dots in the toolbar. This will open the context menu for the block where you’ll find the Copy option. Write a short description to inform or warn users, or to provide more details.
Click on the Copy option and go to the page where you want to paste the block. On this page, simply right-click on the editor and select the Paste option.
