Our Knowledge Base works well with Elementor Templates. Follow the simple setup below to activate it.

Please Note: Elementor PRO Required

Elementor PRO is required to target the Article pages and Category pages. PRO has the available options to select a single post and archive pages, which is required to target the KB pages.

1. Activate Current Theme Template

If you are using KB Template, you need to switch to the Current Theme Template option.

Find the switch in frontend Editor settings. Click for details.

2. Setup KB Pages

Elementor Templates works on three types of KB pages.

Note: these steps are identical to setup Elementor Canvas.

Step

Edit Knowledge Base Main Page

Open the KB Main Page and edit the page.

Step

Choose Elementor Canvas Template

Go to the right sidebar and:

In the Page Attributes section, open the Template list and choose a template.
If you want to use Elementor, simply click on the Edit with Elementor link.

Save and your KB Main Page will use Elementor.

Step

Create New Template

Note that you need Elementor Pro to be able to use Templates.

Go to the Elementor Templates section.

Click on the Templates menu
Click on the Saved Templates menu
Click on the Add New button

Choose Template Type

Type of Template: Choose Single Post.
Template Name: Enter your template name.
Create Template: Click the button.

Skip the Library

In this example to keep things simple close the library option.

Drop Widgets into the Template

As an example, drop in the Post Title Widget and Post Content Widget.

Note: You can always come back to add more widgets and style them.

Publish the Template

Once done click on the Publish button.

Choose KB Article Post Type

Select KB Article Post Type for the new Template:

In the dropdown choose your Knowledge Base. The second drop-down should say " All"
Click Save and Close.
