Policies

RefuelEU Aviation

EBAA supports ReFuelEU’s SAF blending mandate, reflecting the sector’s commitment to decarbonising its operations. However, targeted adjustments are needed to ensure the Regulation’s anti-tankering provisions do not create unnecessary administrative burdens. EBAA also calls for an EU book-and-claim system, enabling operators to benefit from flexibility comparable to that already granted to fuel suppliers.

Airport Slots

EBAA works to address a slot allocation system that clearly discriminates against Business Aviation, pushing for fair regulation that ensures equal access to airport capacity alongside scheduled airlines.

EU Green Taxonomy

EBAA urges the EU to include Business Aviation in the Green Taxonomy, as its current exclusion unjustly discriminates against our sector and undermines access to financing needed for fleet modernisation and decarbonisation.

Our manifesto

Developed by EBAA and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), this manifesto sets out the sector’s priorities for the 2024–2029 EU institutional term. It highlights the essential role business aviation plays in Europe’s connectivity, competitiveness, and innovation, while outlining a clear roadmap to net-zero emissions by 2050. The document presents concrete policy recommendations to ensure fair market access, accelerate sustainable aviation fuel uptake, invest in new technologies, and strengthen Europe’s position as a global leader in aviation.
