About HL7 FHIR DevDays

About DevDays
Since its first edition in 2014, DevDays has grown into the world’s largest FHIR-only event — a place where the global community gathers to shape the future of healthcare interoperability.
What started as a hands-on event for early adopters has become a meeting ground for healthcare leaders, innovators, policymakers, and developers alike. At DevDays, the people who build the FHIR standard meet the people who implement it, creating a direct line between vision and practice.
More than just a conference, DevDays is a community-driven experience: open, collaborative, and focused on turning standards into real-world solutions (without the sales pitches). Expect inspiring keynotes, community discussions, practical workshops, guided coding, and hackathons — all designed to turn ideas into working solutions.
Background of FHIR and DevDays
FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is an open-source standard for healthcare data exchange, designed for the modern, API-driven world. Today it is recommended or mandated by governments around the globe and is used to connect care providers, payers, and patients through interoperable health IT systems.
HL7 (http://www.hl7.org) is the organization behind FHIR and many other well-known standards such as HL7 v2 and CDA.
Firely (https://fire.ly/) is one of the initiators of FHIR and continues to play a leading role in its evolution. Firely also develops widely used FHIR tools — including Firely Server, Simplifier.net, Forge, and the official .NET SDK for HL7 FHIR — helping organizations worldwide turn standards into practice.
