On 14 March Kuwait became a member of COSPAR with the Kuwait National Space Research Center as the national scientific institute. The COSPAR community extends a warm welcome to Kuwait and to the Kuwaiti space science community.

A number of Assembly event organizers have requested an extension of the abstract deadline due to an increasingly heavy flow of submissions. The deadline has therefore been extended until 22 February. This extension applies only to abstracts and not to any other Assembly deadlines.

The Call for Abstracts for COSPAR 2026 is now available. Abstract submission opens 8 November.

The Call for Abstracts for the 6th COSPAR Symposium, 3 - 7 November 2025, Nicosia, Cyprus, is now available. The submission deadline is 4 April 2025.

The COSPAR Panel on Space Weather (PSW) is seeking proposals for naming of large space weather events and will discuss the matter at its business meeting at COSPAR 2024 in Busan. Please find the Call here.

Associates are encouraged to submit one or more scientific event proposals for COSPAR 2026 (Florence, Italy, 1 - 9 August 2026).
