It helps organisations across Europe accelerate the development of GDPR compliant cloud-based services for consumers, businesses, and institutions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide no-margins characteristics\" style=\"padding-top:40px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:40px;padding-left:0px\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">The CISPE Code of Conduct offers three key advantages:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"519\" height=\"342\" src=\"https:\/\/www.codeofconduct.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/sovereign.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center red wp-block-heading\">Data in Europe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.2\">Many European businesses want to retain&nbsp;better control&nbsp;over their data by ensuring that it remains within the EU. Uniquely and while not required for GDPR compliance, the CISPE Code of Conduct gives IaaS customers explicit options to select services that enable data to be processed entirely within the European Economic Area. As such, it also promotes data protection best practices which support the EU\u2019s GAIA-X initiative to develop European federated cloud data services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.codeofconduct.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/independent.svg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"519\" height=\"342\" src=\"https:\/\/www.codeofconduct.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/independent.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-67\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center red wp-block-heading\">Independent<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.2\">Compliance with the CISPE Code of Conduct is verified by independent, external auditors accredited as &#8220;Monitoring Bodies&#8221; by the competent European Data Protection Authority. Independent &#8220;Monitoring Bodies&#8221; strengthen the level of assurance provided by services declared under the code.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"519\" height=\"342\" src=\"https:\/\/www.codeofconduct.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/focussed.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-66\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center red wp-block-heading\">Focused<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.2\">It is the first and only code to focus exclusively on the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) sector and address the specific roles and responsibilities of IaaS providers, which cannot be represented in general, multi-purpose codes. The CISPE Code of Conduct creates the confidence and trust for end-users that a declared IaaS service is compliant with GDPR. Providers of declared services will only access or use customer data to maintain or provide the service and will not use customer data for marketing or advertising \u2018Candidate\u2019 mark is awarded to services and providers that have fulfilled the self-assessment against the CISPE Code of Conduct requirements pending the verification by an independent
