The Project

Backstage is Codelitt’s internal "source of truth": a centralized operating system that brings common sense and data-driven insights to organizational knowledge and talent management. By merging fragmented candidate data and institutional memory into a single, AI-native platform, Backstage ensures that no opportunity is lost to a spreadsheet.

The Challenge

For years, critical talent information was scattered across disparate Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs), PDFs, and manual notes. This fragmentation led to high value candidates falling through the cracks: in one instance, a top-tier developer application was "lost" for two years simply because the record wasn't visible when needed. This lack of data governance increased hiring costs and slowed down our ability to respond to market demands.

The Solution

We rebuilt Backstage in a single day using Claude Code and AI-native architecture. The platform serves as an intelligent data warehouse that automatically parses resumes to extract language fluency, technical certifications, and interview links without manual entry. It integrates TalentLitt (a previous in-house tool we built to organize talent) directly into the core workflow, allowing the team to generate real time talent decks for sales calls and manage the entire hiring lifecycle from a single, unified interface.
