I wish journalists were writing articles like this 15 years ago. I used to tell people that after six hours of programming, you start going in circles. Your brain runs out of gas. All I would get is dirty looks and negative reflections on my manhood.
I watched people bring long hours on themselves by screwing off in the early and middle stages of projects and then sleeping in their office in the last month–and doing crappy work because they were brain dead.
Smart people are really dumb sometimes.
