  • Joey Bosa OLB | LAC

Joey Bosa: Time up with Chargers

The Chargers officially released Bosa on Wednesday.

Bosa, a five-time Pro Bowler and 2016 first-round pick, had been Los Angeles' longest-tenured player. Once one of the league's premier pass rushers, injuries have limited Bosa to just 28 combined regular-season contests over the past three years. He had just 5.0 sacks across 14 appearances in 2024, less than the 6.5 sacks he recorded across just nine games in 2023. Having been scheduled for roughly a $36.4 million cap hit in 2025, Bosa never seemed a realistic candidate to remain with the Chargers, barring a significant pay cut. Now, still just heading into his age-30 season, Bosa figures to draw notable attention as one of the few capable edge rushers on the open market.

  • Ernest Jones LB | SEA

Seahawks' Ernest Jones: Recovering from knee surgery

Jones underwent knee surgery shortly after the conclusion of the regular season, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

The procedure was to clean up a lingering knee injury that Jones has dealt with for over a year, and he is expected to return to football activities as soon as June. Jones is a pending free agent, and while free agency starts Monday, teams won't be able to bring players in for physicals until March 12, so a deal with another team would be delayed due to his surgery. Jones played in 16 regular-season games between the Titans (six) and Seahawks (10) in 2024 and finished with 138 tackles (77 solo) and two pass breakups.

  • Alex Austin CB | NE

Patriots' Alex Austin: Tender placed by New England

The Patriots placed an exclusive rights tender on Austin on Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Austin missed eight regular-season games in 2024 due to an ankle injury. He returned in Week 12 against the Dolphins, and over the final six games of the season he accrued nine tackles (eight solo) and five pass defenses. Austin will likely sign the tender and return for the 2025 season, and he'll have a chance to earn the second starting outside cornerback job opposite Christian Gonzalez (concussion).

  • Tre Tomlinson: Let go by Rams

The Rams waived Tomlinson on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Tomlinson spent the entire 2024 season on injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury. Assuming he clears waivers, Tomlinson will look to catch on with a team in need of help on special teams and depth in the secondary. Tomlinson appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Rams in 2023 and logged 13 tackles (11 solo) while mostly serving on special teams.

  • Tucker Fisk TE | LAC

Chargers' Tucker Fisk: Tendered by Bolts

The Chargers placed an exclusive rights tender on Fisk on Wednesday.

Fisk played in the final nine games (five starts) of the 2024 regular season after beginning the campaign on the practice squad, and over that span he accumulated seven catches (on eight targets) for 39 yards. He played just 11 offensive snaps in the Chargers' loss to the Texans in the AFC wild-card round, but he managed to haul in a 15-yard touchdown pass from Justin Herbert. Fisk will likely sign the tender and return to the Chargers for the 2025 season, where he projects to serve as the No. 2 tight end for the 2025 campaign behind Will Dissly.

  • Bradley Chubb OLB | MIA

    Dolphins' Bradley Chubb: Restructures contract

Chubb (knee) agreed to a restructured contract with the Dolphins on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Per Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, Chubb's contract will be revised to reduce his base salary, but the veteran pass rusher will still have the opportunity to earn his full $21 compensation through playing time and sack incentives. Chubb missed the entire 2024 season while recovering from surgery for a torn ACL, meniscus and patellar tendon injury that he suffered in December 2023, but he is expected to be fully healthy for the start of the 2025 campaign.

  • 49ers' Javon Hargrave: Past injury

Hargrave has recovered from his triceps injury, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Hargrave is expected to be released by the 49ers after June 1, according to general manager John Lynch. The 32-year-old missed San Francisco's final 14 games last season due to a triceps issue that landed him on injured reserve. However, he now appears to have moved past the issue, making him fully healthy just in time for free agency. The veteran from South Carolina State is expected to be a sought-after target on the free-agent market for teams in need of interior defensive line help.

  • Morgan Moses OT | NYJ

Jets' Morgan Moses: Officially past knee issue

Moses (knee) was cleared by the Jets' medical staff Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

The 34-year-old offensive lineman, an unrestricted free agent this offseason, played through a Grade 2 MCL sprain for the majority of the 2024 NFL season. However, he now appears to have moved past the injury following clearance from the Jets' medical staff. Moses can now enter the free-agent market fully healthy as he looks to return for his 12th NFL season in 2025.

  • Joel Bitonio OG | CLE

Browns' Joel Bitonio: Will play in 2025

The Browns announced Wednesday that Bitonio will return for the 2025 season.

Bitonio was contemplating retirement following the 2024 campaign, but the seven-time Pro Bowler has decided to return for a 12th NFL season. Bitonio started in all 17 games for the Browns last year and has missed just two regular-season games since 2017.

  • Ryan Coll C | IND

    Ryan Coll: Out in Indianapolis

The Colts waived Coll (undisclosed) on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old missed the Colts' entire 2024 campaign after being placed on injured reserve in August due to an undisclosed injury. Coll has yet to appear in an NFL game after going undrafted out of Richmond last offseason.
