All youth fares are valid across all Caltrain zones - but youth fares are only for riders 18 and under. Be ready to show proof of age if asked.
How to Buy
You can purchase youth fares:
- At Caltrain ticket machines
- With a Youth Clipper card for one-way fare and monthly pass
- Online or in the app for the $24 Youth Monthly Pass
- In person at the Caltrain office in San Carlos
Note: The $2 Day Pass is not available on Clipper. It can be purchased at ticket machines.
Good to Know
One child age 4 and under rides free with one paying adult. All other children must travel with a valid youth fare.
