Case Study
The Troth wanted an inclusive and accessible website experience that would attract everyone. ArcStone was up for the challenge.

The Troth, an international Heathen nonprofit organization based in the United States, is dedicated to educating, training, and providing resources to support the inclusive practice of linguistically Germanic polytheistic religions.
As an organization rooted in the values of mutual exchange and service within inclusive spiritual traditions, The Troth sought a website that would authentically reflect and effectively uphold these principles.

Associate President
“This web redesign was light years ahead of anything in the category and was designed from the ground up based on the principles of inclusivity, accessibility and harmony. We are so grateful to have had such a fantastic team of designers, project managers and developers.”
The Challenge:
The Troth was undergoing a comprehensive rebranding effort and needed support with a website redesign. Their previous site, built on Drupal, was challenging to manage and update efficiently.
A key priority for the new site was compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards to ensure accessibility for all users.
Additionally, the old site struggled to build awareness or effectively engage current members. The Troth required a solution that would support their growth, deliver essential functionality, and reflect their commitment to inclusivity. The redesigned website needed to welcome both current and prospective members, including disabled individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people of color, while embodying an inclusive and inviting spirit.

Our Approach
The Troth partnered with ArcStone to design, develop, and host a WordPress website tailored to their needs.
Our process began with a clear goal: to create an inclusive, accessible platform that serves all users effectively.
The project kicked off with a Discovery Workshop where we focused on active listening and asking the right questions to deeply understand The Troth’s needs and aspirations. As part of this phase, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of their existing website, mapping the sitemap and thoroughly crawling the content. This allowed us to gain insights into their current setup and identify opportunities to deliver a site that not only met but exceeded their expectations.
With a focus on inclusivity and user experience, our approach aimed to craft a visually stunning website that is intuitive to navigate and easy for the team to manage and update.

Reviewing The Results
The recent redesign of TheTroth.org has been a resounding success. The website now boasts a sleek, modern, and welcoming design that enhances the user experience while aligning with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. The updated layout not only improves usability but also effectively highlights clear calls to action. Built on the WordPress platform, the new site provides a scalable framework to support The Troth’s ongoing growth and evolving needs.
