Although some expressions that we use are not actual quotes from Scripture, if we check them out carefully; we may discover that they do reflect spiritual truths that can be authenticated or verified by Scripture. Before you repeat it no matter how good it sounds, check it out.

Acts 8:5-8 "Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city."

Acts 9:33,34 "And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately."

Acts 9:36,37,40,41 "Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
