He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver." The silver refining process requires very high temperatures to burn out impurities. I've heard it said that the silversmith must keep his eyes on it at all times because it would be destroyed if left too long in the fire. He knows when it is fully refined when he can see his image in it. God wants us to reflect His image.
