You need to be committed to your business idea. You certainly need to have a vision of what the business is and what it can become. Unless you are going to be a sole proprietor you will need to be a leader and find a way of recruiting real talent that can add value to a growing business. You need to be adaptable - if something isn't working, find out why and change it until it does. Realize that in any business it is the customers who help you pay the bills - so take really good care of them from the outset.
