What documents will I be able to access via GEAUX agency portal?

The following documents are currently available in GEAUX:

What documents will NOT be available via GEAUX?

Policyholder Delinquency Notifications will come by email on the 19th of the month and Delinquency Reports will come by email on the 1st business day of the month.

Return Commission Statements will continue to be mailed.

What if I do not have GEAUX access to get my documents?

Am I able to opt out of paperless delivery and continue to receive my documents via mail?

Not for agency documents. Agencies will still receive a policyholder copy of each policy.

What type of accounts do you write?

A: AMERISAFE is a specialty provider of workers’ comp insurance focused on hazardous industries.  For more detailed class code information, please refer to our Preferred Class Code list.

In what state does AMERISAFE write?

A: AMERISAFE actively writes in 27 states.  For more details please refer to our Territory Map.

How long does it take for loss control to be completed?

A: The jobsite visit requires the assistance of the agent to prepare the policyholder to cooperate in getting the visit scheduled. Some areas require greater scheduling lead time than others.

How do I change the email address for the documents that are emailed?

Will I receive a copy of the policy?

A: Two copies of the policy are provided to the agent of record - one for the agency and one for the policyholder.  Policies can be accessed/downloaded at any time via the GEAUX Portal.

What is a monthly reporting form? How does the policyholder receive these?

A: A monthly reporting form is a compilation of payment rates for anticipated class codes. Policyholders may register for monthly reporting via Online Services. Upon request, twelve monthly paper forms can be mailed directly to the policyholder at policy inception. 

Do you have height restrictions on construction/roofing accounts?

A: No.

Does your company use third party claims/audit personnel?

A: AMERISAFE’s model is based on using our own employees for Audit, Claims and Safety services. However, at times and in some locations, we must augment our staff with vendors.

Does the deposit roll at renewal?

A: Yes.

Do you have a cap on experience mods?

A: No.

When is my first monthly payment due?

A: Remittance should be paid to AMERISAFE by the 10th of the month following the reporting period. Reporting and payments can be made online via Online Services.

How early do you accept submissions?

A: We accept submissions 120 days prior to the effective date.

Do I have to re-submit after being declined for not enough information?

A: Contact your Underwriter with the information required to continue the application process. You may be required to provide an AOR letter if another agent has reserved the risk in our Underwriting system.

Do you write new ventures?

A: AMERISAFE considers any risk with less than 13 months of prior workers’ comp coverage to be viewed as a new venture. There are some circumstances and industries where these are considered. Check with your underwriter on a specific case.

Do you write owner-operator trucking risk?

A: We will write risks using owner-operators, provided the owner-operator is included on the policy.

Can I rate/quote using the online services?

A: AMERISAFE does not offer online rating/quoting. GEAUX is an online services submission entry system allowing agents a direct link to underwriting.

How do I obtain loss runs?

A: You can email your request to [email protected] to obtain loss runs.

Do you honor AOR change requests?

A: Yes, please refer to your Producer Guidelines or contact your Territory Sales Manager for more detailed information.

How do I view my policyholder's audit documents?

A: Final audit policy information can be obtained via Online Services, with prior authorization from the policyholder.

GEAUX PORTAL

What is GEAUX?

A: GEAUX is AMERISAFE's online services system that changes the submission and quoting processes to an interactive, transparent experience between our underwriters and agents. This web-based program allows users to submit new and renewal business, check on current accounts, engage in live chat with your AMERISAFE Underwriter and receive updates throughout the underwriting process.

Will GEAUX allow me to instantly quote an account online?

A: Due to the nature of AMERISAFE's risk appetite, we do not quote accounts online. GEAUX is simply the fastest, most effective way to submit and communicate with your AMERISAFE Underwriter.

How do I sign up for GEAUX?

A: Contact the AMERISAFE Agent Portal Team.

If my email address changes, do I need a new GEAUX login?

A: No, but your agency administrator will need to update your email account in GEAUX. For information, contact [email protected]

What do I do if I forget my password?

A: After entering your username, click "Forgot Password." A new password will be sent to you via email.

How do I submit an application through GEAUX?

A: With GEAUX, you can upload submissions from your approved agency management system, upload PDF Acord applications via the AppReader or you can manually enter the submission.

Can I print the necessary supplemental applications for my submission?

A: Yes. Complete the following steps:

1. Go to the "Overview" screen.
2. Go to "I want to..."
3. Click "Print Submission"
4. Check "Application Forms"
5. Click "Print"

Can I get into an account in GEAUX if the account has modifications pending?

A: Yes, however, you will not be able to make any changes to the modified application until your Underwriter acknowledges the modifications.

Why do changes need to be submitted prior to requesting to bind the account?

A: Underwriting asks that the agent submit changes before requesting to bind coverage in order to accurately reflect changes. Binding locks the submission on the underwriting side. Any changes made after requesting to bind will have to be done by endorsement.

How do I make changes to my submission?

A: If changes are needed prior to or at binding, you can make these changes by clicking "Modify Submission." After changes are made, you must review these changes by clicking "Submissions Modifications." Once you have reviewed these changes, click "Submit" to complete this process.

How long should it take the underwriter to acknowledge any changes that I make to my submission?

A: Your Underwriter should take no longer than one full business day to acknowledge your changes. After this is completed, the Request to Bind function can be completed on the agent side without additional endorsements needed.

What if I have a timing issue?

A: (i.e., it is 4:50 p.m. and you need to bind an account for 12:01 a.m. that night for the next day.)
In this case, you will need to attach a note when you "Modify Submission" stating you would like to bind coverage once the changes are acknowledged.

What if the Underwriter working that submission is out that day?

A: GEAUX does not provide a way for an Underwriter to indicate they are out of the office. For this reason, we ask you to allow one business day for changes to be acknowledged. If the changes need to be made sooner than one business day, you will need to utilize the chat feature or call and speak to someone else in Underwriting.
