What Is Collatz Conjecture?<\/h2>\n

\"\"Collatz Conjecture<\/a> is a speculation or conjecture that is named after Lothar Collatz. He proposed it in 1937. It is a mathematic conjecture that is not supported by substantial evidence. It is an equation or a statement of the problem that starts with a positive integer n<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to this conjecture, every following term is always obtained from the previous term in the following manner:<\/p>\n

  1. Say a former term is an even number, so the next term will precisely be one half of it.<\/li>\n
  2. If the previous term is an odd number, the next term will be three times the initial term plus one.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The conjecture lies in the fact that irrespective of what the value of n<\/em><\/strong> is, this particular sequence will always reach the value of 1.<\/p>\n
