Hi, I’m Alicia
I’m a queer, dorky nerd from Switzerland who loves tech way too much. I work as a software developer and enjoy tinkering around in my free time as well. Taking my own weird way through life with lots of sticks, and stones in the way. But that won’t stop me. Life doesn’t have to be straightforward, so I’m just taking my own weird way and living it to the fullest now. I’m mostly gonna be writing about my journey through the tech industry and my learnings along the way, but might also write about life in general and private topics every now and then.
I don’t explicitly want to have just a list of all my content in chronological order, so I only show the latest content. It’s more supposed to be a map of my thoughts, what I do, things I work with, and especially of how I am. Pages explicitly have other related pages linked at the bottom, as well as pages that link back to them.

A Guide to Alicia's heart (emojis)
Published: Last Updated:I'm gonna go and wear my heart on my sleeve here. I'm already always pretty open about myself. And I try to be open about intentions, although one can always do better. But that's not the topic here. The topic is my heart. Well, at least my heart emojis. I'm a very weird and quirky woman. I don't know how common it is for others, but I have a bunch of meanings for the different heart emojis and colors. And why not share that little quirky bit about me?
Public goals and accountability
Published:I decided to make (some) of my goals public, so that people can hold me accountable. This is mostly so that I'll actually do the final steps for accomplishing the individual goals. I had multiple different website/blog setups in the past. But while I was actually working on blogs, most of the time they ended up sitting in the drafts folder for way too long. Why? Not because they weren't good, but because they weren't perfect. Currently I'm very explicitly trying not to be perfect. I put out things explicitly in an unfinished state to make myself more comfortable with it. Let my flaws and quirks be seen.
